Clinical Supervision

Guidance On Every Step of the Way. Clinical Supervision is a regular requirement for HCPC registered healthcare professionals. It is to ensure all clinical work is practiced safely and ensures all HCPC regulations are met.

I offer one to one clinical supervision for HCPC registered professionals including all arts based Therapists, Psychological Therapists and Counsellors to name a few. I offer one to one Art Therapy clinical supervision via an honest, supportive and non-judgemental approach, with an understanding that all professional practice differs. I believe that clinical supervision should consider the supervisee as a whole, including any elements that may impact the supervisee’s practice. I actively encourage supervisees to use their creativity to express their experience of their clinical practice and inform their supervision sessions. I am informed by the HCPC standards of practice and code of ethics and the BAAT code of ethics. All clinical supervision is formally agreed between supervisor and supervisee and consistent in time, frequency and space. My clinical supervision is mainly informed by the psychodynamic model and the seven eyed model (Hawkins and Shoet). Both models consider the transferential relationship both between the supervisee and client and the supervisee and supervisor. They consider how the supervisee’s relationships with client’s may occur as a parallel process within supervision and how this can inform the supervisee’s practice.
